Hi @jonasnoble, right now there’s a new build coming each month (early August, early September, etc). The August units are allocated to pre-orders, so orders placed today with the $10 deposit will ship in September. I think in September we’ll be caught up and can go back to having the QA403 in stock full time. ---

hello! hopefully this is the correct thread to ask in, but currently the QA403 page says it’s on backorder, but will be shipping in the week starting 20th November (which I assume was last week) does this mean it’s in stock? if not is there an updated time? thankyou! 🙂 ---

Hi @Julian, yes, they are back in stock. I think Saelig (US distributor) will have units later this week and Elektor (EU distributor) will have units early next week. I think orders placed today on [QuantAsylum.com](http://QuantAsylum.com) for the QA403 will be fulfilled by the end of the week. ---

Likely fanless, or a slower fan that only comes on occasionally in hot labs. It’s also a brand new custom electrical platform, and it’s going to be running on a brand new custom software platform. And it’s AC powered, which brings additional safety and test implications. Those are 3 sizeable efforts (mech/sw/hw) that all need to come together. I’ve not said when it will be ready because I don’t know. It’s currently on REVK, which is at least 11 board revisions. Each board revision, if we go as fast you can, is probably 5-6 weeks. That’s 4 weeks for the PCB to be fabbed and SMTd, and two weeks for eval. That said, still not sure when it’ll be called “done” ---

Hey matt, Have you looked at improving the DAC + AMP for the QA404? This is where the QA403 is lacking in performance. I am currently using the QA403 with a TOPPING DX5 II DAC/AMP combo. I assume you are aware of the ES9039Q2M DAC from ESS and the OPA1611 op amp from TI. ---
