I hope Matt will be able to edit and prepare new documentation as discussed.
@VAR Mr Cordell has done an amazing job with his QA-403 Tutorial. If I would have know this was in the works I wouldn’t have bothered you with all the questions. Although that is past history and very happy to get so many basic answers.
Unrelated: You should update to the latest firmware V 1.202. Some useful improvements/bug fixes etc.
Related: If that is the response of an actual amplifier, it’s very badly broken.
On page 7 we go through the effort to determine the Gain, I am thinking this value should be entered here as Output Gain?
Hi, I don’t understand why you want to put the measured gain in the dBV context menu. The configuration on page 7 you refer to is to measure the gain of the DUT. Once measured, the test is complete and you do not need to enter the result anywhere. Different is the case where you intend to use the DUT you just measured to detect, for example, the noise and return it to the input (RTI), or in a new chain of measurements where (which will now no longer be the DUT under test), of course, this gain has to be taken into account to have results purified of the effect of the device that now becomes part of a new chain of measurements. Of course, I could be wrong.
