Can the QA460 drive into highly capacitive loads without oscillating?
It’s generally not an issue. There will be some overshoot, of course, but generally no ringing. Below is a plot of the QA460 driving 500 mVpp (measured at QA460 output port which has 20 dB atten) 100 kHz into 2x4700uF = 9400 uF caps = dead short at 100 kHz . The power opamp used in the QA460 is an OPA564, which is well behaved under a host of reactive loads.
This plot is 500mVp into QA460, which is 5Vp out of QA460 into 0.1uF.
Awesome performance!
