Hi @LAPC123, you are referencing the picture below? For POSA you can either place the jumper or leave it off. IN the diagram, since R3 isn’t place either will give the same result as long as you don’t have a jumper in the other locations. But, if you wanted a custom attenuation factor, you could place R3 and then place the associated jumper to get that custom value.

Yes, it’s the schematic that I referred to and thanks for the information. By the way “NC” meant No Connection? Just curious.
Ah, sorry! NC=“no component.” This is also commonly called DNP (“Do Not Place”) or NP (“Not placed”). It just means the pads are there, but the part is not.
