My custom Q403 case

Hey all.

I finished my custom Q403 case.

I have 2 outputs and inputs per channel for added flexibility. I also took the +side of each input and “Y’ed” to b&c connectors so you can put a scope from the DUT. Works well. I also added a little window on the left side to see the leds on the analyzer. I did add some vent holes on the side and the back. On the rear of the unit I added and usb connector and also brought out a ground to try strapping the ground if needed.

All in all it’s pretty cool..

Let me know what ya think…

Cheers

Well, I’m a super newbie - @61. And just built my first test corner. Love the super clean look. Did you take any internal pics - I would like to do this in a 1u setting. Like my dummy load.

Hey,

Not internal pics.

Wouldn’t fit in a single rack. Too much internal wiring. But at least it doesn’t weigh a ton like my ap….

Nice work. Good if you often measure gear with XLR connectors. Most of my measurements are single ended so the QA403 BNC is just right for me.

Yeah true about that..

I deal with pro audio gear almost exclusively. I have breakout cables that that me from xlr to b&c. So no big deal to check single ended devices . I must say with this setup I’m pretty happy with the Q403. The only thing that is stopping me from using it all the time is the oscillator pulsing on and off.

I’m sure hoping that Matt can update this so we can have a steady state oscillator. That would make my life so much easier……

Take care and thanks.
