Hi! This is a feature request for the manual: In manual version 1.181 pages 40f is the very useful Softkey overview. It would be great if that was a single page.
Of course for now I can just copy paste it into another file to print it out and hang it over my bench, but it would be nice if that was already sorted.
Thank you very much.
Yes, @THDaniel, this does make sense. Thanks for pointing out.
Hi @Rammis, how would you envision the UI for the shifting would occur? For automated tests, could you specify an input offset (dbv context menu) of 1 dB between runs, and that should then reflect in the measurements and offset them precisely. Would that suffice?
I would like to see it in the âmathâ tab. After the test run, you would choose the curve, then enter an offset into a box which would shift the curve up or down by that amount.
This would also be handy where several curves are overlapping and you want to offset one of them for clarity.
Hi. I agree. I think a function like this, if it were possible to include it in the software, would be very convenient and useful. Thank you
@Rammis, yes, that makes sense. Issue is added here
Thanks Matt!
And while Iâm making additional work for youâŚ
Would it be possible to have the Sys:Gen1/Sys:Gen2 tab have the option to show the output level in either volts RMS or dBV?
One thing that I think would be useful for the automated tests where it asks for âseries labelâ would be to have check boxes for APPEND âLâ, âLeftâ, âRâ, and âRightâ (you could only select âLâ or âLeftâ, but not both and likewise for the Right). There are times when you may only measure a single channel and can specify which one it is in the Title. Plus you may want a âcleanerâ graph which just having âLâ or âRâ makes forâŚ
Matt,
Would it be possible to have the Sys:Gen1/Sys:Gen2 tab have the option to show the output level in either volts RMS or dBV?
Thanks
Matt, would it be possible to integrate the option to save a measurement taken via the control panel instead of the Automated Tests menu as CSV to import it into the Graph Tool later?
Thank you very much.

Yes, this will be in the next release.
I think you can do this already if I understand correctly. Once you have a main trace, go to File->Export Data->Export Frequency Series:
And then, from an automated test Graph, go to Traces->Import Trace and then import the trace you just exported. it should show up.
Be aware that itâs possible to mix and match traces in ways that donât make sense as there are freq/time domain, sine vs sweep, log/lin, etc.
Thanks Matt! Your support is awesome.
Thanks! That was exactly what I was looking for.
- Is it possible to have a MUTE BOTH option for GEN 1 ? Am mainly thinking it would be nice when doing a system noise measurement, realizing that a better measurement would be made with the DUT inputs shortedâŚ
- For the AMPTHDvsFREQUENCY automated test, can there be an option to display something other than the input drive level âsuffixâ for the channel(s) that are tested? In my case, when testing a power amplifier, I have to go back in and edit each trace and change âL: 0dBVâ to âL: 5wâ. It takes a bit of time to do this for both channels and several power levels. My suggestion would be that the software would take the power level it measured for the specified. frequency (default 1khz) and round it off and use that for the âsuffixââŚ?
@matt I was wondering if we could have a user defined y preset axis button?
Not a biggie, but it is Christmas time and I thought I would ask about having the RMS voltage displayed as well as dBV when doing an ExpoChirp. Iâm glad it was added to the GEn1/Gen2 displays⌠Thanks
