Hi, Will this software run on a ras pi 4b (with OS Debian 13, “Trixie”? Also, I don’t like my pc providing 1A (5 vdc) via a UBS port. Can anyone recommend a powered USB hub that would be compatible with the QA403?
Thank you !
Charlie

Hi bktotten, and thank you very much for the response !!!
So in lieu of running the QA403 app on a Ras pi, are you suggesting, instead, to run in on win 11, on a more powerful llinux server…possibly a NUC or similar… (via a vm)?
Again, thank you for your response!
Charlie
Charlie,
Yes, if you have a NUC you can do a couple things. If you dont want to build a VM, you can install Win10/11 directly on the NUC. If you are concerned about windows licensing, dont register the install, use it as is, running the QA application. The QA app is designed to require the .NET libraries, hence a windows application requirement.
If you want to build a VM, a great virtual environment to run the VM is Proxmox. Just remember to pass through one USB port on the NUC to the VM so that the QA app can read the 40X device.
All of the signal processing is conducted on the 40x device. so host CPU utilization is a rather low requirement.
Hope that helps.
Yes, I already have Proxmox running on one of my NUC’s… excellent advice, again, Thank You, bk!
