QA402 Feature Request

Both have been added for 1.142. Thanks for the suggestions!

Hi @Matt. I’ve seen it and it looks very good to me. Now I’m waiting for my QA403 I ordered to arrive so I can use it. Thanks

I am not sure if it has been brought up before, but it would be nice if the state of the cursor(s) was recalled with the loading a settings state- if they were OFF when the settings were saved it would be nice if they were turned off when the setting was re-loaded. Not a big deal, just a suggestion :slightly_smiling_face:

Realizing that there is so much going on at QA, has any thought been given to having separate attenuators for both the left and right outputs (unless that feature is already present & I don’t know about it). Obviously there would be a cost increase due to parts and software mods, but I was curious about this as I have had instances when I thought it would be handy…

Hi @VAR, hardware wise it’d not be too bad. The challenge would be how to surface in the software. I guess there could be two panels for attenuator settings, and that usually they’d be linked, but you could unlink them sometimes and then set each full scale input on a per-channel basis. We will think about for a QA404, whenever that might be (this part shortage just keeps getting worse and worse and worse…)

That is nice to know that you are considering doing that for a future QA40x… I am not sure if you could just use the Gen2 as the source for when you want to control both channels separately (I have yet to use Gen 2)- might make it easier…?

Hi @Var, that’s an interesting idea too–completely decouple the left and right channels.

When Using the speaker impedance plot automated test, it does not remember the last folder you saved the bitmap of the graph that was generated- not a show stopper, of course…
