Hi,
I finally got around to trying out my QA450 that I bought in 2020. I’ve been using the QA401 and it is great, but this was my first time taking the QA450 out of the box.
I hooked it up to everything, and was running SW v1.13 (which I think was the last QA450 release?), and it immediately prompted to update the firmware. I hit ok twice, and it looks like it did the flash, and prompted me to disconnect-reconnect the USB.
I did so, and when it came back on, it displays the error message :
“The QA450 has experienced an overcurrent event. This is catastrophic. The box must be reset. The app will close.”
I am not sure what to do… Aside from plugging/unplugging, there isn’t an obvious way to reset the box. (it appears to be on FW v.25)
It is also concerning as I don’t know where the overcurrent would have come from, The DUT was not being powered by the QA450 (no connections to the current sense inputs). The DUT was hooked up to mains AC, but the DUT was off.
Thoughts? Is this fixable or a lost cause? Many thanks in advance!
