Hi. Version 1.203 is available. There are some new features that, in my opinion, are interesting.
To save people hunting for it:
1.203 currently found here: https://github.com/QuantAsylum/QA40x/releases
Note that 1.203 is a prerelease and 1.202 is recommended if you don’t need the 1.203 features (it says)
Some useful features for sure. I really like the measurement bandwidth tile and some other functions.
That said, I’ll sit back an see how it pans out before jumping in.
I just tried using the PLOT DAMPING Factor for the Automated Power amp impedance test, and while it plotted the Damping Factor, there was no scale on the right side of the graph for it. Almost there
Where have you been Scott? Hope you’re well and looking forward to a great Xmas.
Hi John- been here, just not a lot for me to comment on until now. Testing things and putting together videos for my channel take most of my “free time” once I get my daily exercising in. Tried designing a basic crossover for a friend’s LWE speaker which was a new experience. Did some tube rolling stuff for an upcoming video- that was new. Discovered that increasing the FFT and sampling time can improve the Frequency response when measuring amps with output transformers- that may have been suggested by you or possibly in a comment on one of my videos- that was also last night (am testing a pair of EICO HF12 amps). I saw you were busy on ASR Focusrite Scarlett- way beyond my knowledge base. I don’t like to leave Tucson. I hope we get a rare snow dusting here for Christmas… Best wishes to you and your family this Christmas as well, John!
Hi @Var, yes, the axis were shared which isn’t very useful. The new release 1.205 is up HERE and the quality of the damping factor display should be much improved. The plot below is the output impedance of the QA461 using 8 ohm and 18 ohms for the two test loads.
Looks Good- I appreciate all the effort!!
