I have an Audio Analyser, active load and uV meter. These are all great products.
I am doing a lab tidy up and bought 2 of your rack trays. Unfortunately these are not of the same standard, even in the proper packaging there was some distortion in the ears, and they generally feel flimsy.
The last thing is that they won’t accept the global standard 6mm bolt (except US of course) and they are so tight and flimsy I am loathe to drill them out.
Hi @Gredpath, when the products are installed in the rack (remove the feet from the products, and then use the 8 included flat-head M3 screws to screw into the rack), the assembly firms up quite a bit. Thicker rack metal would be ideal, but then it’s too tight to fit into a rack.
Note that the rack ears assumes you are using a 10-32 screw to affix it to the rack rails. In the US, the rails are commonly 10-32. But 12-24 and M6 are also options globally. So, there exists various adaptors and/or cage nuts to let you get from one to the other.
The 10-32 is 4.8mm diameter, so you can use a slip on nut on the rack that lets the 10-32 pass through the M6 hole and catch a nut that slips onto the rail:
