Hi everyone, I just purchased a QA401 and I’m wondering if the software will run on Windows Parallels on a Mac?
Hi @DDickey, you should be OK as others are doing this. There have been some reports of DPI issues on higher resolution displays which you might run into. See an example HERE.
Please report back with what you see, and remember there’s a 15 day return policy for any reason in case it doesn’t work to your liking.
I use VMWare Fusion on my Mac with Win 10 and it works just fine.
Greetinga,
I am also an Apple Macintosh user. I have been loaned a QA403 and small windows PC with which to run the QA software. I also have installations of VMWare that I may try this on, once I accomplish some prior objectives, including familiarization and performance testing of an integrated amplifier that came in with the QA-403.
Has anyone else encountered the problem of the QA403 getting disconnected? I’m using Parallels and Windows 11. I suspect this is actually macOS deciding to disconnect it, but could be wrong.
This can be easily fixed by physically removing and replugging the USB cable.
I’ve not seen that, but I do have to startup the QA40x software before plugging in the USB otherwise it doesn’t detect it. And a few times it doesn’t quite work properly first-time and I have to restart the software and replug the USB. But not that often.
